Randy Rector grew up working on a farm everyday after school to help his family survive. Not long after high school he would try his skills out being a dump truck driver. Randy loved driving a truck and did it for 20+ years but wanted to broaden his skill set. Randy bought his first loader in the 90s and soon realized there was a high demand for someone with that type of equipment and his skill set that he quickly developed. Not long after buying his loader, he bought a backhoe, became septic certified and started installing septic systems as well. In the midst of starting his own business he still worked everyday in his own tobacco fields. Soon it was to much to juggle the demand of excavating and farming so he left farming behind and became incorporated in 2000.
Through the next decade Randy worked for hundreds of Farm/ Residential Clients, Cities, Municipalities and Entities sculpting his name through the construction industry making a name for himself and his work. Since 2008, Randy's son, Patrick Rector, joined him in the field since his late high school years while juggling his straight A grades and college courses. Randy & Patrick have been managing Rector Excavating together since 2013. After getting field experience under his belt, Patrick had a desire to grow the company and hire more employees to the team. We now have over 20 dedicated, hard working team members. We are a family owned business, with a family atmosphere. We hope to work with you soon!
